Writer: Immanuel Baptist ChurchImmanuel Baptist Church

Who is God to you? Psalm 95:1-7 [1] O come, let us sing unto the Lord : let us make a joyful noise to the rock of our salvation. [2] Let us come before his presence with thanksgiving, and make a joyful noise unto him with psalms. [3] For the Lord is a great God, and a great King above all gods. [4] In his hand are the deep places of the earth: the strength of the hills is his also. [5] The sea is his, and he made it: and his hands formed the dry land . [6] O come, let us worship and bow down: let us kneel before the Lord our maker. [7] For he is our God; and we are the people of his pasture, and the sheep of his hand. To day if ye will hear his voice,

Such a wonderful passage of scripture!! We should want to shout for joy and make a joyful noise for all He is to us. These verses point out a few things that He is: Our rock, a great God, great King, our Creator, our Shepherd. Praise His name for He is wonderful!! The question today is, “What is He to you?” Who is God in your life? Is He your:

1. Instructor 2 Timothy 3:16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: He will give us instruction in every aspect of our lives if we’ll get into His word!

2. Investment Not our tithes and offerings, but our time. How much of our lives do we invest into learning more about Him, seeking His will, doing His commandments!!

3. Investor Can He invest in us? I think of how Paul starts many of his letters statimg “an apostle of Christ.” Are we students of God? He wants to invest in us to spread His word, but can He depend on us? Will you allow Him to have His way in your life?

4. Immovable in your life How many churches closed last night for a game? How many people stayed home for a game? If that’s all it takes then how truly important is God in that life? This passage tells us how wonderful He is!! Therefore it should be our desire to be all we can for Him because He should be our everything for all He has done for us!

So today ask yourself, who is He to you? Do others see Him in you? Does it show outwardly what He means to you?

May God bless you today! Bro. Josh Richardson
