Men Love Darkness

John 3:19

And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.

Darkness is a picture of sin. That's why you have to train up a child in the way they should go, because their desire is to do wrong. A child, as soon as they are born, takes on the nature of the flesh. That's why Jesus said you must be born again, so that they receive the spirit of God and battle the flesh until they go to heaven. The Bible instructs us that the flesh and the spirit are contrary to each other. The flesh will always side with wrong. The only way the flesh can be controlled is by the spirit of God. We are to crucify the flesh. The reason why the world is spinning out of control is that people are being controlled by the flesh. The flesh will always lead you away from the things of God, because humanity loves darkness rather than light. People will not go to church because they don't like to have their sin revealed to them. The only hope for humanity is to come to the light of Jesus Christ.
