What your faith tied to?
Hebrews 11:6 But without faith it is impossible to please him : for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.
We know this verse and the fact that we must have faith. So first I’ll ask you today, do you have faith? We say we do and we will even tell others about our faith. We will tell others that they need to put their faith and trust in Christ:
Hebrews 10:23 Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised;)
What I really want to look at today is this: What is your faith tied to? -money -material things -master(boss) at work -means of money(job) -mental and physical health
The Bible tells us what faith is: Hebrews 11:1 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.
However, we place faith in those things I listed because we can see those things. We have so called faith and trust as long as all those things are in order. What happens tomorrow if just 1 of those things falls away? We have lost people watching our lives everyday. If we have our faith where it needs to be, in the true Master, then when our faith is tried we will shine thru and the lost will see something different in us than what’s in the world. We place our faith in ANYTHING else besides God then when something happens to it then we fall apart and become a stumbling block to the lost!! I challenge you today to search your heart and ask yourself, “What is my faith tied to today?”
