Jan 24 Devotion: You Do Have Time

You Do Have Time

James 4:14 Whereas ye know not what shall be on the morrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapour, that appeareth for a little time, and then vanisheth away.

For today’s devotion I want to follow up a little bit on Monday’s. If you recall Monday we talked about taking time today to do what God would have you to do. The question is how do you do that?

When God began to deal with me about preaching I thought there was no way. Among many of the excuses I formed in my head was that there was no way I had the time to devote to studying more for a message. One of the things I’ve learned since is just how much time you have for things when you make those things a priority. When you stop making excuses and instead make things a priority you can then be amazed what you can have time for.

Not only those things, but also stay realistic. Don’t make something a priority and expect to have time to finish it all at once necessarily. If you have five minutes to study then devote that five minutes to study with realistic expectations. Don’t expect to learn or accomplish everything in that short amount of time. Stay realistic.

Finally, start today!! Have you ever sat down and think of something you need to do. Then have that thought that you can do it tomorrow. Only then it never gets done because something else comes the next day. The more we put off the less gets done.

Summarizing today all together. You can have time to accomplish things with a few steps.

Stop making excuses

Start prioritizing

Stay realistic

Start today

God bless you today!
