Having A Fire For God
Genesis 22:6
And Abraham took the wood of the burnt offering, and laid it upon Isaac his son; and he took the fire in his hand, and a knife; and they went both of them together.
When Abraham took Isaac to Mariah, he took the fire with him. What we need in these days is a fire burning down in our soul for the things of God. It is easy to get distracted and discouraged when you see the wickedness that is in the world today. The first thing about fire is that it has to be started. Everyone of us is responsible for our fire. We can't expect the pastor to build our fire. He has a fire to start for himself.
A fire must be stirred. You can stir your fire by reading the Word of God, praying, and attending God's house. By spending less time in the things of the world.
Fire can spread as long as people don't do something to put the fire out. The main purpose of fire is to keep out the cold. If you look around, it's easy to see all the blessings that God has given to each and every one of us. We're living in days where people believe they deserve something. And they do; we deserve an eternity in a lake of fire, but God, by his amazing grace, has saved us.
May God bless you,
