Let Them Know
Jeremiah 31:3 The Lord hath appeared of old unto me, saying, Yea, I have loved thee with an everlasting love: therefore with lovingkindness have I drawn thee.
Have you ever had a bad day or week and just open up the Bible and read about Gods love as a way to help lift yourself up. Sometimes just knowing someone cares can help uplift you during a bad day. This past week the sports world has been reminiscing on the life of Kobe Bryant after him, his daughter, and seven others passed away in a helicopter crash last Sunday. I’m not going to ask why it isn’t discussed in the news the service men and women who lost their lives this week. That’s an entirely different discussion.
However, I do want to focus on how none of us are guaranteed tomorrow. People pass away every day who had made plans for the next day, or even later on that same day. None of us are guaranteed our next breath. All too often when someone passes we are left with regret over things we wish we had said. Words that we just put off until a “better time”. Like I discussed in devotions last week: make time today. I’d challenge you over the next 24 hours to message at least 5 people and let them know how much you love or appreciate them. Hopefully you have more than 5 and you’ll realize just how blessed you are with the friends you have. You may even lift someone’s spirits whose had a bad week.
Putting it off could just mean you never get a chance so tell them today!!
God bless you today!
