Why You Should Get in the Bible

Isaiah 34:16

Seek ye out of the book of the LORD, and read: no one of these shall fail, none shall want her mate: for my mouth it hath commanded, and his spirit it hath gathered them.

People's lives are falling apart because their Bible is not. We as the children of God should be reading and applying God's word to our life. First, we should get in the Bible because he's instructed us to. It's hard to believe that a person can be faithful in every area of their life if they're not reading the Bible, because the Bible says that faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. Second, we should get in the Bible because it informs us of everything we need to know. The Bible is a history book. It tells us of where we come from, where we are at and where we are going. We should not be surprised about the condition of this world if we are in the Bible. Third, we should get in the Bible because it illuminates our path. The Bible says that it's a light unto my path. I'm not groping in the darkness like a blind man. The problem with most people is they believe that God's word is not to them. Last of all, the Bible produces life. The Bible says that the lost man is dead to God and the only thing that will bring life is the word of God.
