Romans 8:28 And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.
I know we often refer to this verse when we or others are faced with difficult circumstances. However, it says “all things.” However, often times we take for granted or fail to dwell on just how good God is during those good things so to speak. You ever gotten that random card in the mail, maybe a call or text out of the blue? How often have you gotten one of those when you’ve not necessarily been struggling, but one that was just a wonderful reminder that people care. As I sit and type out this devotion I received a text from someone I’ve only seen a few times in my life, and I’ve not seen in over a year. As I read the text about how this person said I had been on their mind a lot lately and they had been praying hard for me. I began to tear up as I thought, “Why me?!” Why would someone think enough of me to pray, and then to even reach out by text. Then I began to think that’s just how good God is. He knows how to pick up and encourage you even when you might not be down! All because He works in all things, and He does all things well!
Don’t take for granted that in good times or bad, whether you are up or down, God is working in it all!
