Ps. 12:1-8: “Help, Lord ; for the godly man ceaseth; for the faithful fail from among the children of men. [2] They speak vanity every one with his neighbour: with flattering lips and with a double heart do they speak. [3] The Lord shall cut off all flattering lips, and the tongue that speaketh proud things: [4] Who have said, With our tongue will we prevail; our lips are our own: who is lord over us? [5] For the oppression of the poor, for the sighing of the needy, now will I arise, saith the Lord ; I will set him in safety from him that puffeth at him. [6] The words of the Lord are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times. [7] Thou shalt keep them, O Lord , thou shalt preserve them from this generation for ever. [8] The wicked walk on every side, when the vilest men are exalted.”

Note: the literal translation of “a double heart” is; “…with an heart and an heart.” As if one to say and do good things and another to invent and commit evil ones.
*double hearted people are…
1. unconscionably Deceptive! -v. 2
(Because they believe their own flattery and lies!)
2. in stark Denial!
(They feel there’s no need to changed for they believe their is nothing wrong)
3. well Disguised! -v. 4
(That’s why you hear of heinous actions by so called preachers, church leaders, and faithful church goers!)
We live in a day when people convince themselves of many untrue things. What they are really seeking is to become whole and the only one who can accomplish this for them is Jesus. We who are saved are called to be light to their darkness. May we be one with Jesus so those who are double hearted can see what they are truly missing! -Pastor Doug Foster
