The Peace In Our Future
Isaiah 65:25 The wolf and the lamb shall feed together, and the lion shall eat straw like the bullock: and dust shall be the serpent’s meat. They shall not hurt nor destroy in all my holy mountain, saith the Lord.
You see some of the stuff that’s gone on in our country the last few days and it makes you yearn for the day that Jesus returns again!! It can be easy to look around and get depressed, discouraged, or even feel defeated with all that’s going on. This verse should give us some peace on what we have to look forward to in our future. It can brighten our day when we look forward to something happening in our future. How much do we look forward to a vacation or other things? This is no different! If we believe and trust in Christ then one day we will know this peace talked about in this verse. Not only that peace but the final destruction of evil when it talks about the “dust shall be the serpent’s meat.” What a day that will be when we experience a new heaven, a new earth, and an eternal peace like we’ve never known. Don’t let the current state of affairs get you down today. Instead look forward and turn your thoughts to what God has in store for us in our future!
