Holding and Leading
Psalm 139:7-10 [7] Whither shall I go from thy spirit? or whither shall I flee from thy presence? [8] If I ascend up into heaven, thou art there: if I make my bed in hell, behold, thou art there. [9] If I take the wings of the morning, and dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea; [10] Even there shall thy hand lead me, and thy right hand shall hold me.
I’d guess most all of us have had at least one time in our lives where we just really needed a friend. Maybe you had suffered a loss, had a bad breakup, or was just going anything that had you down. You needed a friend to maybe cry on their shoulder, someone to vent to, or maybe just needed a hug. Unfortunately in those times that friendship extended to us is often limited in time and advice. It’s not that they don’t want to be there more or be more of a help, but they have their own lives as well. One of the many wonderful things about God is that we don’t have to worry about any type of limitations! When we are having a bad day or going through something traumatic He is always there for us. Not just for the short term, but each and every time we need Him. Not only is He there to hold us through those times but also to take us by the hand and lead us through those times. Just think of the 3 boys in the fiery furnace:
Daniel 3:25 He answered and said, Lo, I see four men loose, walking in the midst of the fire, and they have no hurt; and the form of the fourth is like the Son of God.
Not only was God with them, but He led them through and out of the fire!! God is always there for us and if we are willing to let Him then He will lead us also. Whatever you may be faced with today trust God to take care of you through it all and lead you through anything!
God bless you today! Bro. Josh Richardson
