Many More To Reach
Matthew 9:37 Then saith he unto his disciples, The harvest truly is plenteous, but the labourers are few;
I had the blessing of being able to take a vacation last week. It was great to be able to get away and do a little relaxing for awhile. While away there were two things I observed during the week that really caught my attention. One was something I read in the news. There are some in the Catholic leadership looking to change documents about who can partake in their communion. This is due to so many in politics who claim to be devout Catholics, yet are ok with pro-choice as well as many other things that go against the Word of God. I then seen arguments from those politicians threatening the church if they dared to make that change. They are more interested in a ritual than what God says. The second one I was even more astonished by. We went to Florida for our vacation. I was shocked by how many still wore masks. The area we were in still had a mandate for that county. So anytime you went in a store they wanted you to have one on. However, the amount of people that wore them while outside still surprised me. I’m sure some could have health issues so maybe they are genuinely trying to stay safe. I also saw plenty though that I’m sure we’re wearing them out of fear of a virus. We could go on and on about the politics of the situation, but the fact of the matter is that these people need Jesus! They don’t have their trust in a Saviour like we do so they are trusting anyone who tells them something they like. I truly wondered how many of them have never truly heard a clear cut presentation of the Gospel. Even those politicians so concerned with communion. What have they been taught about God’s Holy Word! They’ve been led astray more than anything. What are you doing to spread the Gospel today? We too often say we can’t go. That’s not the call God has placed on my life. While we might not be called to go somewhere else, whether home or abroad, we can across the street. We can go to our co-workers. We can pray. We can give to missions. We can go out on visitation. We can live a life before others that points them to Christ. There are so many things that we CAN do, but too often choose not to for whatever reason. If we believe the Bible then we know this is all winding down. What type of effort are you putting forth to spread the Gospel to see others get born again before it’s eternally too late?
God bless you today! Bro. Josh Richardson
