June 4 Devotion: My Hope

My Hope

Romans 5:1-5 [1] Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ: [2] By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God. [3] And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation worketh patience; [4] And patience, experience; and experience, hope: [5] And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us.

I hope it don’t rain today. I hope this works out. Have you ever made those statements or some similar? There are many things we “hope” for in this world. Do you hope or wish for things to go right? That hope leaves us disappointed. However, when we put our hope in the Lord we are not left discouraged, but instead we have peace. With our hope in God we can rejoice in anything that may come our way. The more we see God do in our lives the more our hope grows in Him. Serving a God that conquers all gives us a hope that this world fails to understand. Where does your hope lie today? Whatever life has thrown at you place your hope in Christ and you can rejoice in knowing that God will get you through anything!

God bless you today! Bro. Josh Richardson
