One Big What If

2 Corinthians 10:8 For though I should boast somewhat more of our authority, which the Lord hath given us for edification, and not for your destruction, I should not be ashamed:

“The squeaky wheel gets the grease.” A phrase I’m sure we’ve all heard at some point in time. I’ve seen people this past week apologize for their own personal beliefs all because of public outcry. One in particular is someone who professes to be a good Christian man. First let me say there is no room for racism anywhere in our world, and there are things that go on everyday that are wrong. There are people in many walks of life that are mistreated on a daily basis. Why then is the racism aspect overrunning everything right now? They are the loudest voices. Now there are some using this as a time for lawlessness, but there are many simply standing up for what they believe in. WHAT IF we were willing to do the same things as Christians? We seen with the whole covid thing that there are some that are willing to stand and fight, but unfortunately there were many to just roll over and do anything they were told. I’m not suggesting rioting, looting, or breaking the law just because we can. However, what about willing to make a stand and let our voices be heard. Prayer was taken out of schools, and other things that go completely against the Bible have become normal place in our world. Why? Because Christians aren’t willing to take a stand. I’m not talking about looking down on others, calling others names and or doing a lot of the things that others like to do. Are we willing to use the authority God grants us to edify others, to spread the Gospel, to dispel the falseness that’s out there about Christians? Willing to share His Word, not for the destruction of others as our text verse refers to, but so that they may accept Christ before it does lead to their final destruction in hell? What if we were willing to start just in our own lives? Making a stand to those around us. Not willing to accept anything that goes against the Bible. If we are truly wanting to see a change in our communities and in our country it’s going to have to start with Christians willing to make a stand and let our voices be heard! Imagine the change that could take place if all Christians were willing to call local government representatives and let it be known of their stance. If they want to be re-elected they are going to follow the voice of the people. Do we have Christian people willing to run and serve in political office in order to make a difference? If we are going to complain we don’t have time, or not enough of us to make a difference then explain to me why we are still here. If God didn’t still want to save, if He still didn’t have something for us to do then we would be called out of here. What if we had always been willing to do this? Would we be in the condition we are today if Christians had been willing to make a stand and have their voices heard throughout time?

God bless you today! Bro. Josh Richardson
