Mar 19 Devotion: A Weapon of Warfare

“A WEAPON OF WARFARE”

FOR THOUGH WE WALK IN FLESH, WE DO NOT WAR AFTER THE FLESH: 4) (FOR THE WEAPONS OF OUR WARFARE ARE NOT CARNAL, BUT MIGHTY THROUGH GOD TO THE PULLING DOWN OF STRONGHOLDS.

II CORINTHIANS 10: 3-4

The fact that the word “weapons,” in our text, is plural, indicates the fact that there are many devices to defend or instruments that t be used for attack at the beck and call of the born again believer. Have you ever picked up one of these weapons that are at the redeemed’s disposal? Do you know what they are? Let’s take a closer look at just one of the tools available to the child of God in our great battle with the enemy or enemies–THE POWER OF PRAYER!

We can pray for power, not as a display of our flesh, but as an array of the arsenal of God against the enemy! Paul even tells us in verse three that we do not go to battle in the flesh. It is unthinkable, untenable, and will produce nothing but tragedy. The weapons cache that Christ affords contains the blessed promise of answered prayer and help obtained. HEBREWS 4:16 proclaims, “therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.”

The weapon of prayer found in the secret place of God is as indiscernible as a stealth bomber, and its payload is more powerful than a thousand atomic bombs! It is able to destroy the enemies’ bulwarks like a modern day “bunker-buster.” So, take the safety off, and be ready to “fire” in faith!

PRAYER IS THE ANSWER TO WHATEVER THE QUESTION!
