Phil. 3:1-3- Finally, my brethren, rejoice in the Lord. To write the same things to you, to me indeed is not grievous, but for you it is safe.
2 Beware of dogs, beware of evil workers, beware of the concision.
3 For we are the circumcision, which worship God in the spirit, and rejoice in Christ Jesus, and have no confidence in the flesh.
Here the Apostle Paul is exhorting the church at Philippi to rejoice. He warns of those who attack and spread untruths. He reminds them that being born again grants us the privilege of being right with God and worshipping in spirit and truth. The devil strives to hinder our worship and our causes to rejoice. He’ll stop at no means to disrupt our cause.
Hindrances to your Rejoicing!
1. Sin!
2. Skepticism! (Doubting)
3. Spite! (Envy)
4. being Stingy!
5. Snobbish! (Arrogant, Prideful)
6. Supposition! (being Judgmental)
7. Spurning! (being in Denial)
Don’t give place to the devil and don’t allow others opinions or accusations hinder your joy. He who angers you, controls you.
