Revelation 21:5 And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And he said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful.
Don’t you like new things? Worn out may be the fad that many wear today, but there is just something special about new things. This is what God has promised for the future. He is going to “make all things new.” These new things will be eternal in nature and will be incapable of wearing out. These new things will be suited for the eternal plan of God and will be appropriate for his eternal presence. Sin, sickness, sorrow, and suffering will all be gone and will be replaced with bliss and everlasting blessings. The curse is gone, and all the new things bring glory to God. Praise replaces pouting. Glory replaces grieving and groaning. Worship replaces worry. Joy replaces sorrow. What a day that will be.
Are you familiar with the phrase, but let us address the elephant in the room? This is a different way of saying, let us look at something that is obvious but must be dealt with. The elephant in the room in God making all things new is, will you be there to enjoy it all or will you be banished, never to see it. When God makes all things new, it will be after the great white throne judgment when all the lost will be judged and cast into the lake of fire. The ones who refused to trust Christ (to put their faith in God) will not see all these new things. Their future holds nothing but judgment and torment. “Ye must be born again.” This is an emphatic truth. Without salvation, there is only judgment. Without Christ, there is only banishment. Without Christ, you will never experience the joy of “all things new”. You may say, but I’m alright. But you have been deceived. Trust Christ today before it is eternally too late. If you have, there are new things in your future.
