Hanging On

Romans 8:17-18 [17] And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together. [18] For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.

Ever made this statement? “ I just don’t know how much more I can handle?” We can all act super spiritual and say that God would never put more on us than we could bear, but if we’re honest we’ve all been in a spot where we were struggling. There could be many causes of that struggle. You could be struggling with decisions you have to make. Maybe a loved one has let you down and you are struggling to understand why and how they could do such a thing. Perhaps someone in church, maybe even someone you held in high regard has disappointed you, and now you don’t know where to turn. I used to make the statement that sometimes we could be struggling so much that we are sure that the light at the end of the tunnel so to speak is nothing more than a train coming to barrel us over. Those times when we just feel like their is no way out and it’s tough to look up. We face things that at the time we don’t understand the reasoning. It could be that someone around us needs to see God’s glory revealed through us. So whatever you might be facing today, hang in there! It might feel that it is easier said than done, but never forget the peace that God can give! Even if you feel today that you don’t know how to make it to tomorrow don’t overlook the fact that: God loves you God will protect you God can give you peace God’s glory will be revealed in His timing!!

God bless you today! Bro. Josh Richardson
