GROWTH
2 Thessalonians 1:3 We are bound to thank God always for you, brethren, as it is meet, because that your faith groweth exceedingly, and the charity of every one of you all toward each other aboundeth;
We see Paul start his letter to the church of the Thessalonians the same way he did often in his writings. Most times he started with what he appreciated in their lives. Here we see it’s the fact that their, “faith groweth exceedingly.” Why is growing important? God doesn’t save us to just sit on a church pew and never grow in the faith. We are given the Scriptures, we face storms, all with the intent to see us grow. God’s desire is for us to grow in faith, grow in knowledge, and grow closer to Him!
Looking at the end of our text verse we see the importance of our growth.
“and the charity of every one of you all toward each other aboundeth;”
I once heard someone say GROWTH can be said to be: GOD Reaching Others With These Hands!
There is people we come in contact with each day that our growth helps determine their faith. How we handle the storms, how much we show that we’ve grown in The Lord can have a big affect on others.
Are you growing today and helping others, or are you just wilting in your contentment?
God bless you today!
