Nov. 17 Devotion: Acceptance Overload

Acceptance Overload

Matthew 7:1 Judge not, that ye be not judged.

You can’t judge me! How many of you have ever had that statement said to you before? We have a world that wants to use that and try to get us to accept everyone the way they are and accept everything under the sun. We are to show the love of Christ to all, but we aren’t to accept sin. While God will be the one to judge us we can still call sin sin and not accept it. Unfortunately, we’ve gotten to where too many Christians are accepting of everything. Things we used to would never dream of seeing or being talked about are now commonplace. How many today are shacking up or living a life of homosexuality and it’s accepted because it’s family? We are more afraid of offending them and them not coming to Christmas or something then we are concerned for their soul. We won’t say anything to someone because we are too concerned we might lose a friend. By no means am I saying we go out of our way to offend them. however, they do need to know the truth. The best way to show others the love of Christ is to give them the truth. It’s not in the acceptance of sin.

God bless you today! Bro. Josh Richardson
