Who Is He To You?
Psalm 103:1-5 [1] Bless the Lord, O my soul: and all that is within me, bless his holy name. [2] Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits: [3] Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases; [4] Who redeemeth thy life from destruction; who crowneth thee with lovingkindness and tender mercies; [5] Who satisfieth thy mouth with good things; so that thy youth is renewed like the eagle’s.
We all have certain words that we automatically associate with something else. You say peanut butter, I’ll think jelly. You say steak, I’ll say potato. I could go on and on. In these first 5 verses here of Psalm 103 we see the word “who” used five different times. The psalmist starts talking about blessing the Lord. He then begins to tell us why in vs. 3. Because God is the WHO that does all these things we should bless His name!! I’ll ask you today: Who is He to you? Just speaking for myself. He’s the one WHO redeemed me! The one WHO loves me! The one WHO blesses me as unworthy as I am! The WHO that created this beautiful world we live in! The one WHO is always there when I need Him. Those who’s show not only what He has already done, but continues to do now and into the future. When you hear someone say His holy name. Is He The Who you worship a couple times a week? Is He the Who that is your everything?
God bless you today! Bro. Josh Richardson
