Tell Them You’re Thankful

Luke 22:31-32

[31] And the Lord said, Simon, Simon, behold, Satan hath desired to have you, that he may sift you as wheat: [32] But I have prayed for thee, that thy faith fail not: and when thou art converted, strengthen thy brethren.

Can you imagine the comfort felt here in these verses!! Imagine having Jesus telling you personally that He is praying for you. We have those assurances from His Word! Having the Bible, we have the assurance that He is always there for us. What a comfort we should draw from that.

However, what I’d like to focus on today is the aspect of Simon being told that Jesus was praying for him. The comfort of knowing someone cared for him. As we celebrate this holiday season we will share texts, or send cards to people telling them how thankful we are for them. We should purpose it in our heart to do this more often! There is nothing better than getting that text or card from someone telling us what we mean to them. Unfortunately that seems to be something done around the holidays, or if something tragic has happened. We should make it a point to send a card, or a text, or even by word of mouth, and let someone know how important they are to us. Sometimes you may have no idea what they could be facing, and how much a kind word could help them!

God bless you today!
