Nov. 24 Devotion: He’ll Be Back

He’ll Be Back

Luke 4:13

And when the devil had ended all the temptation, he departed from him for a season.

The Bible has plenty to say about the devil. He has a lot of nerve to even try and tempt the Lord Jesus, and get him to sin against the Father. If he is bold enough to confront Jesus, be sure he will not fail to tempt any of us. The Bible describes the devil as a roaring lion seeking whom he may devour. The devil is very deceitful. He offers what seems to be something good, but all along he is trying his best to ensnare us. In our text, the Bible says that the devil will depart for a time. So if the devil isn’t bothering you at the present time, enjoy it, because he'll be back. He is very persistent. He’s not giving up on destroying your life. All this crazy stuff that's going on in the world is under the leadership of the devil. He knows that his time is running out. He's more involved in our government and our churches in accepting the standards of the world. Be sure the devil will not stop. He’s trying to drag everyone he can to hell. If he is leaving you alone, then enjoy, but he'll be by your way later.

May God bless you,

Bro. Ron Little
