Nov. 3 Devotion: After This

After This

Hebrews 9:27

And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment:

The Bible says that all men have an appointment with death. This is an appointment that we will all be on time for. This appointment is arranged by God himself. If we as Christians could keep in our thoughts that today may be the day that we meet this appointment, it should cause us to live our lives a little differently. We might treat people a little differently. We might spend more time with our family and less time on our electronic devices. We would spend more time reading the Bible and praying and telling people about the Lord. Our flesh and the devil get us occupied with the cares of this life and what's going on around us. True enough that the cares of this life are real and they take up a lot of our time and there are problems in this life. There must come a time where we take time to feed our soul, and spend time doing something spiritual. The fact is we are walking one day at a time to meet this appointment with death and after that the judgment.
