Nov 3 Devotion: The Joy Of Being Saved

THE JOY OF BEING SAVED!

Psalm 70:4 Let all those that seek thee rejoice and be glad in thee: and let such as love thy salvation say continually, Let God be magnified.

Psalm 70:5 But I am poor and needy: make haste unto me, O God: thou art my help and my deliverer; O Lord, make no tarrying.

Psalm 51:12 Restore unto me the joy of thy salvation; and uphold me with thy free spirit.

Do you love and enjoy the blessings of being SAVED? I know it may seem like a silly question, but the reality is that many of us never stop to really dwell long enough on the beauty and power of our salvation. Our salvation should be a love so rich and deep that it never falters or sways. If we love belonging to the Lord, then our words will continually be magnifying HIM because we just can’t help ourselves! There is a joy in our soul and a sense of value and worth, when we evaluate just what our salvation means and the price that was paid in order to give it to us. Everything else in our world can fall apart but our salvation never will because it’s anchored IN JESUS! Well Glory! People and the devil can rob us of all that is good, our joy, patience, material possessions, reputation, encouragement, hope and so much more, but they will never be able to take our salvation from us. No circumstances or trial of our faith can ever remove it.

When was the last time that you looked back to the place where Jesus found you? Can you remember when you were poor and needy, lost in your sins and headed who knows where in thisworld…and you knew your final destination was hell? How long has it been since you felt that same joy, excitement, and pure jubilation and fire in your soul the day you got saved? Remember that day? When there was overwhelming gratitude and thankfulness that Jesus would save you and you were in complete awe of what just happened. My Christian friend, it will always do us good to reflect back and remember that day. We should never lose our wonder of the fact thatGod loved us and saved us. The love of Jesus Christ, and HIS presence in our daily lives is all we need in this world until we get home. We can do without everything else, but Jesus…OH how need HIM! The God of Heaven gave it ALL, by giving us Jesus! What a costly gift God gave to us and without reservation to do so. This alone is the foundation upon which we can build our lives and it will never crumble. It’s my prayer for you today, to remember that day when Jesus saved you and find joy and blessing in your salvation. Give God praise and all the glory for what Jesus has done for your soul. Rejoice in knowing you belong to Jesus and even more importantly, Jesus belongs fully to you! If you are discouraged by a trial, or current events in your life, remember your Heavenly birth…it is your joy in this world and it will never disappoint you. Today, rejoice in your salvation, look to Jesus for strength, and celebrate Calvary!
