When There Are No More Excuses!
Romans 14:10 But why dost thou judge thy brother? or why dost thou set at nought thy brother? for we shall all stand before the judgment seat of Christ.
2 Corinthians 5:10 For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad.
No fluff. No gray area. Straight and to the point. We will ALL stand before God one day! There is no way out, and no free passes. We have all sorts of “movements” in today’s society. I think one of the biggest, though it’s not officially named, would be the “not me movement”. It is something that seems to have infected most everyone. It’s never our fault. The blame is never ending. It’s always someone or something else’s fault on why we can’t do something. If we aren’t happy with something or someone at work or the way something was done at church then we get all up in arms and place blame somewhere else. We never take the time to self examine ourselves and ask if we are handling the situation the correct way. We always come up with excuses or other places to place blame.
There is coming a day when that’s not gonna work. When we stand before God we aren’t going to be able to blame someone else. We can’t come up with excuses on why we didn’t do something, or why we didn’t agree with something. We will be held accountable for what we have done. We will have to answer for ourselves!
We all say that we know we aren’t guaranteed tomorrow. Do we truly believe that? Each of us could be gone before our next breath. If your next breath was to be your last, are you ready to meet Him? Are you satisfied with where you are with God, or are you continually making excuses on why you can’t?
