A Lively Hope
1 Peter 1:3-4 [3] Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which according to his abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, [4] To an inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled, and that fadeth not away, reserved in heaven for you,
As we physically live in this world it can become easy to get all wrapped up in it’s issues. We can easily become consumed with, angry at, and become depressed when we look around us. However, we have a lively hope!! Look at vs 3 of our text. God not only has abundant mercy for us, but also a lively hope!! A hope that’s full of life and energy!! Then look at vs 4. Those that are born again have a reservation in heaven! A reservation that’s incorruptible and undefiled. As well as a reservation that’s not going anywhere. It’s not going away in time, it’s not a reservation any politician or anyone else can take away from us! Don’t lose focus on our lively hope. Keep 2 things in mind as this world becomes more corrupt around us.
The Bible tells us these things are going to happen so it shouldn’t surprise us.
We have a lively hope that we should focus on! God loves us and has a place prepared for us! Therefore, no matter what happens we have hope in Him!
