Prayer Request

James 5:16 Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.

Today’s devotion is a little different, but it’s something I just haven’t been able to get away from the last day or two.

You ever have one of those weeks? Seems like if it can go wrong it will. Anytime you open your mouth you say the wrong thing? That seems to be my week so far this week. I’ve spent numerous hours in prayer this week focusing on some things that are close to me. Then it came time to focus on this devotion and I couldn’t get away from this thought: How much do we pray for one another? I’m guessing most answered yes as you read the first question in this paragraph. We’ve all had one of those weeks. Our Pastor often says, “You never know the hurt behind the smiles.” We have no idea what each person has faced through their week, and how well they may or may not be handling those things. Things that they might not be willing to share or to afraid to share for different reasons. Regardless we should be praying for each other. So I encourage you today to pray for each other. You never know when a simple prayer could lay someone on your heart to just send an encouraging text or make phone call that could help or encourage someone to help them make it through the day!

God bless you today!
