A Great God
Titus 2:11-15 [11] For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men, [12] Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world; [13] Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ; [14] Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works. [15] These things speak, and exhort, and rebuke with all authority. Let no man despise thee.
Today I’d like to look at a few things from this portion of Scripture to remind ourselves of just how great a God we serve. Look what is said here about:
What He’s done Vs 14 tells us how He gave himself for us!!
What He’s doing He tells us in that He is preparing a place for us. Vs 13 talks about looking for that blessed hope!!
What He came destined for! He came to give His life for us! Often times we couldn’t find someone willing to just pick up the phone and talk with us yet He laid down His life for us all!!
He donned us with victory He’s already won the victory for us!
Knowing how great a God he is. Knowing all He has done for us, and is doing for us. Do you?
Live for him Does your life exemplify Christ or the ungodliness and worldly lusts it talks about in vs 12?
Love him Do we tell Him we love him? Not with just our words, but with our actions?
Looking for him He’s coming! Are you ready?
