PERFECT BEFORE THE THRONE
Text: Jude 1, 24, & Revelation 1:14,15 [1]Jude, the servant of Jesus Christ, and brother of James, to them that are sanctified by God the Father, and preserved in Jesus Christ, and called: [24] Now unto him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy, Revelation 1:14-15 [14] His head and his hairs were white like wool, as white as snow; and his eyes were as a flame of fire; [15] And his feet like unto fine brass, as if they burned in a furnace; and his voice as the sound of many waters. DEFINITION: FAULTLESS, adjective (Without fault; free from blemish; perfect) Let’s imagine for just a moment. Place yourself in heaven standing before the throne of Almighty God, all by yourself, all on your own. You are standing there in your sin and shame, and there HE is, the Creator, the God of the universe. HE has eyes of flames of fire and HIS eyes are looking right through you, seemingly burning a hole right to the end of your soul. HE knows everything, every fiber of your being, every sin, every intent of your heart, every sincere deed and selfish motive. There is no expression on HIS face, because there need not be one. Just the sight of HIM in all HIS glory and majesty says it all!
My friend, there is not enough money in this world that you could give me to willingly stand in that position, alone in my sin before the King! However, every sinner that dies without Christ, will stand in that moment, at the Great White Throne to be judged for their sin. That is the most horrifying thing one could ever imagine. Now let’s take a look at the future of a Child of God! A soul that is saved, born again, washed in HIS precious blood, will NOT stand before the throne all alone! Not only will Jesus know you, but your name will already be on heaven’s roll, in the Lambs Book of Life! Jesus will be there as your Advocate, your Friend, your Redeemer, your Savior! Hallelujah! You will stand at the Judgement Seat of Christ and you will be clean, washed white as snow, (Isaiah 1:18), robed in HIS Righteousness not your own! Yes, you will be judged for the deeds done after you have been saved, but your sin debt has been paid for by Jesus. Your works will either be burned up as wood, hay or stubble, or Jesus will be magnified and you will be rewarded for the deeds done in your body after your conversion.
Ponder on this…right now we are far from perfect, but the Lord never stops short of perfection in HIS work of love! HE which hath begun a good work IN YOU will perform it! (Phil 1:6) Christian friend, one of these days Jesus is going to present YOU as part of HIS glorious church to the Father! HE will present you spotless, without wrinkle, or any such thing. When you see HIM as HE is, you will be like HIM, holy and without blemish! Hallelujah! One day, the Holy Spirit’s work will be complete. You will stand clothed and robed in HIS righteousness; and the saint that wears that is absolutely, positively faultless and PERFECT in the sight of God! You will have no more desire or passion to sin, as the devil will not be in that holy place. Just imagine, the eternal home of God, a place prepared for you. On that day, you will not be out of place as you stand in HIS presence PERFECT BEFORE THE THRONE! Bro. Lawrence Longworth
