What Do YOU Want Out Of Revival
Psalm 85:6 Wilt thou not revive us again: that thy people may rejoice in thee?
We see here a simple question being asked of God. A verse that I have used on our church marquee many times as we’ve headed into revival meetings at our church. When we talk about revival we always talk about the church. That is important to see the church revived. However, we can advertise all we want, we can have the church full, and still will not have revival if it don’t start with the people. A lot of times if revival don’t break out at a church it’s easy to just place the blame on others. We have a tendency to look at those who didn’t show up each night, or those who we just think didn’t want to see revival break out. However, we must make it personal to ourself! When we make it a point to pray to ourselves that it doesn’t matter to us what others do. We are going to worship regardless, then not only will revival break out in our hearts but also in the church.
We must make revival personal to each and everyone of us. What are you looking for in revival at Immanuel Baptist church next week church member? Maybe you need revived, maybe you have family or friends that are out of church and want to see them get back in church, maybe you have lost you want to see saved. Whatever it may be when we make it personal to us we then go into the week with a personal investment. We don’t go into the week just hoping God shows up for the church. We have things we personally want to see take place and will do what it takes to see God show up. This past Wednesday evening our Pastor mentioned about revivals that used to go on past one week, because it would take the first week just for people to get in that mind or state of revival. If we would make it personal to us this week, then we could start off next week truly ready for God to do something great in our midst.
I challenge you today to make it personal and ask yourself what you want out of revival at Immanuel Baptist Church! Spend this week seeking God personally, and see how He shows up next week!
God bless you today!
