Luke 18:1

Intro: Our Heavenly Father wants to hear and answer our prayers.

Hindrances to our prayers-

1. Unconfessed sin in our lives - Psalm 66:18

2. Unreconciled to our Brother - Matthew 5:23,24

3. Unconcerned about our needs - Philippians 4:6

I. Prayer makes us realize God’s Presence

  A. Brings fellowship - I John 1:1

  B. Brings Faith - Psalm 25:2

  C. Brings Freedom - Hebrew 13:5-6

II. Prayer causes the release of God’s Power

   A. Over self - Romans 7:18, Galations 2:20

   B. Over Sin - I John 1:9

   C. Over Satan - Luke 22:31-32. - Lord prayed against Satan 

        toward Peter

Close- Prayer is a grand privilege and great responibility
