Oct 18 Devotion: What was in the Cup?

Matt. 26:39- “And he went a little further, and fell on his face, and prayed, saying, O my Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from me: nevertheless not as I will, but as thou wilt.”

*What was in the Cup?

1. Sin for all mankind!

2. Separation from the Godhead!

3. Subjects (people)!

4. Suffrage (war, famine, pestilence, poverty)!

5. Sickness and disease!

6. Storms and tragedies!

7. Satanic influences!

8. Selfishness!

9. Self-Satisfied Christianity!

Praise the Lord for drinking His bitter cup!
