Oct 21 Devotion: Prayer In The Workplace

Prayer In The Workplace

Psalm 25:1-5

[1] Unto thee, O Lord, do I lift up my soul. [2] O my God, I trust in thee: let me not be ashamed, let not mine enemies triumph over me. [3] Yea, let none that wait on thee be ashamed: let them be ashamed which transgress without cause. [4] Shew me thy ways, O Lord ; teach me thy paths. [5] Lead me in thy truth, and teach me: for thou art the God of my salvation; on thee do I wait all the day.

As we start a new week each and everyone of us are faced with the same thing whether we work a job or stay at home. Whether it be the pressure to make decisions, solve problems, or even boost performance. It’s a pressure that can weigh us down and get in the way of our relationship with Christ. Often times we are faced with these pressures while working around or dealing with people who don’t share the same beliefs and values we do. This makes it even more difficult when we need the help that only God can give. How often are you willing to reach out to God in prayer for help in the workplace? It could be a prayer said at home before we head to work, a prayer in our vehicle before we go in, and even a little prayer through out the day when the world is about to get us down and steal our joy. A prayer during the day could be just what you need to get guidance from God and have a successful day. Don’t be ashamed to seek God today, regardless of where you may be, or what situation you may be in.

God bless you today!
