How Do You Treat Christians?
Ephesians 4:1-3
[1] I therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you that ye walk worthy of the vocation wherewith ye are called, [2] With all lowliness and meekness, with longsuffering, forbearing one another in love; [3] Endeavouring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.
We have a tendency to not pay attention to certain things cause we say we haven’t been “called.” If you are saved you have one of highest callings in being called a Christian and a representative of Christ. Now how are we in that representation when it comes to vs 2? That phrase “one another” makes it real difficult. How many Christian people do we look at and we immediately think of that thing they do that annoys us? No one is perfect so why do we focus on others faults? At times we treat the people out in the world better than fellow Christians. We will pray for the lost, yet point out faults in fellow Christians. Instead we should practice the same longsuffering God has for us. We should pray for those people, even spend time with them. Spending time with them could cause us to realize we have things in common with them.
The importance of those things lie in vs 3. For a lost and dying world we need to have the unity of the Spirit! Unity doesn’t just happen. It’s something we must work at for us to be light the world needs!
How are you treating your fellow Christians today? With lowliness and meekness, or with judgement?
God bless you today!
