Titus 2:11-15 – 11 For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men, 12 Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world; 13 Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ; 14 Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works. 15 These things speak, and exhort, and rebuke with all authority. Let no man despise thee.
Definition of Christian-one who professes belief in the teaching of Jesus Christ.
Acts 11:26-The disciples were called Christians first at Antioch.
Acts 26:28-Almost thou persuaded me to be a Christian.
I Peter 4:16-Yet if any man suffer as a Christian let him not be ashamed.
These are the only 3 times the word Christian is mentioned in the Bible. Titus 2:11-15 explains what a Christian is.
A Christian is:
Someone who has a Grace experience behind them-Titus 2:11
Someone who has a Spiritual exhorting within them.-Titus2:12
Someone who has a Future desire before them. – Titus 2:13
Someone who has a Solid ground beneath them. – Titus 2:14-15
