The Journey of a Child of God
Exodus 16:1
And they took their journey from Elim, and all the congregation of the children of Israel came unto the wilderness of Sin, which is between Elim and Sinai, on the fifteenth day of the second month after their departing out of the land of Egypt.
On the journey of the child of God, there will be many challenges. Your faith will be challenged most of all. Every temptation or trial, God will see your response to the trial of your faith. Often times, our response is just like the children of Israel. We murmur and complain because we don't understand the reason for the problem, and it doesn’t make sense to us. Often, He will lead us into the wilderness. It’s a place that's dark, and we see no benefit in this place. If we had our way, we would never go into the wilderness, and we would have nothing but sunny days. We would never have any problems or pain. The problem with that is that it will never allow us to grow. Problems will cause us to desire a relationship with God and give us a longing for heaven. Often, we see the problem and never see the grace of God. Every problem should cause our faith to grow in Jesus. Oftentimes, like the children of Israel, we forget what God is doing, and that leads us to discouragement. Our trials should cause us to become better Christians.
May God bless you,
