THE CHARACTER OF GOD Part 2 (HIS Great Power)
Text: Isaiah 40:8, 12, 22, 26, 28-29, 31 [8] The grass withereth, the flower fadeth: but the word of our God shall stand for ever. [12] Who hath measured the waters in the hollow of his hand, and meted out heaven with the span, and comprehended the dust of the earth in a measure, and weighed the mountains in scales, and the hills in a balance? [22] It is he that sitteth upon the circle of the earth, and the inhabitants thereof are as grasshoppers; that stretcheth out the heavens as a curtain, and spreadeth them out as a tent to dwell in: [26] Lift up your eyes on high, and behold who hath created these things , that bringeth out their host by number: he calleth them all by names by the greatness of his might, for that he is strong in power; not one faileth. [28] Hast thou not known? hast thou not heard, that the everlasting God, the Lord , the Creator of the ends of the earth, fainteth not, neither is weary? there is no searching of his understanding. [29] He giveth power to the faint; and to them that have no might he increaseth strength. [31] But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.
Isaiah 6:5 Then said I, Woe is me! for I am undone; because I am a man of unclean lips, and I dwell in the midst of a people of unclean lips: for mine eyes have seen the King, the Lord of hosts.

For few minutes today, let’s look at another attribute of God’s character, HIS GREAT POWER! All throughout scripture we see God’s hand at work in creation, and in the life of man. I want to encourage you today to read the whole chapter of Isaiah 40 and Isaiah chapter 6. Through Isaiah the Holy Spirit shows us just how BIG and Powerful and Holy God is. Isaiah makes it clear to us in verse 26 above, God is so powerful HE can NOT FAIL! Hallelujah! I wanted to take this time today to tell you, whatever you are facing right now in your life, GOD IS able to deliver you! If you are up against seemingly impossible odds, and it appears as though there is NO WAY, HE will make a way! My friend, God will not fail HIS children! It is a great encouragement for me to know that each day that I face, and every challenge a day may bring, I am not alone! Paul said, “when I am weak, then am I strong.” (2 Cor 12:10) Why then do we worry? Why are there times that we doubt HIM? We have a God who measured out the waters of the earth with the palm of his hand, and HE put in place the boundaries and dimensions of the galaxies of the universe, (V.12) above. So today, if you need strength, HE gives power to the faint, (V.29) HE will lift you up! If you are looking for answers, or THE ANSWER; (V.26) lift up your eyes on high and behold HIM who created all things. Just as Isaiah saw HIM, today may you see the King high and lifted up on HIS Throne! HE is still there, ready to use you and send you to do the work, by HIS GREAT POWER! Bro.
