His Grace Is More Than Amazing
Ephesians 2:8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
It is by that unmerited grace that we have the gift of salvation. There is no work that we could do, nor payment we can make that would cause us to earn or deserve the grace that God gives us.
What about our lives? Do we exhibit the willingness to show grace unto others? That co-worker or family member that gets on your last nerve. How often do you extend grace to them? How often are you willing to pray for them, or just show them kindness. We are extended that unmerited grace from our Savior on a daily basis! If we want to be set apart from the world and be Christ-like, we too should be willing to show grace unto others.
I seen a video this week of a young man who testified at the sentencing of a woman who had killed his brother. He didn’t wish for her to rot in jail. Instead it was his prayer that she would ask the Lord for forgiveness and find Jesus Christ in her heart. He even told her that he forgave her for what she had done and wish that she didn’t even have to go to jail. At which point he tried to show his grace physically by giving her a hug. The forgiveness and grace in that mans heart amazed me, if only because it’s not something we see everyday in today’s society. However, we should! We can’t put ourselves in his shoes and say what we would or wouldn’t do. However, we can look at our own lives, and see where we’ve failed to show grace in even smaller areas!
God bless you today!
