Sept 14 Devotion: Fainting Christians

II Corinthians 4:1,16-18

     In Luke 18:1, Paul gives the remedy to not faint. Prayer is the key to not fainting in our Christian life. In our text verses, Paul points out in verse 1 that we have received mercy and in verse fifteen abundant grace. Verse 16 says – for the cause we faint not.

Four reasons many faint-

  1. Burdens

  2. Battles

  3. Buffeting

  4. Business

Today we should not faint because of-

  1. Our lasting responsibility-I Corinthians 4:1, II Corinthians 5:18

  2. Our leaving a reproach-I Corinthians 9:27

  3. Our living redeemer-Hebrews 12:1-3, Revelations 2:3

  4. Our loss of rewards-Gal.6:9, Rev. 14:13, II Timothy 4:8, I Corinthians 3:12-15

  5. Our lost loved ones to reach-Philippians 1:12-18
