Daniel 3:1, 5 [1] Nebuchadnezzar the king made an image of gold, whose height was threescore cubits, and the breadth thereof six cubits: he set it up in the plain of Dura, in the province of Babylon. [5] That at what time ye hear the sound of the cornet, flute, harp, sackbut, psaltery, dulcimer, and all kinds of musick, ye fall down and worship the golden image that Nebuchadnezzar the king hath set up: Today we pick up where we left off on Tuesday. We see here in this passage the wicked spirit of antichrist even in Daniel’s day. Notice here on display the type or picture of the antichrist. In (Rev 13:15-18), we see how the devil has a counterfeit for everything that is REAL in the spiritual realm. As Christians, we pray to God the Father, through Jesus the Son and we are filled by the Spirit. Satan has his (Trinity) in the antichrist, beast and false prophet. This is his spiritual realm. The scripture tells us in Revelation 13, that during the tribulation, they all will worship the image of the beast. Notice here in the book of Daniel, Nebuchadnezzar had the people worship the image he set up. This is pride at its very highest as satan seeks to be worshipped. The image the king erected, height = threescore cubits (6) breadth = (6) cubits. Just as satan often does, the king used music and gave instruction mentioning (6) instruments to be played. As we see here, (666) this is the number of man and the beast (Rev 13:18). This is NO accident in scripture as the Holy Spirit is warning us of the demonic spirit behind things that go on in our world. In Daniel 3, these men of God did NOT bow or bend to the wickedness going on all around them. They knew they were going to die physically if they did not bow their knee to this spirit of antichrist but instead they chose TO STAND and live for God! Hallelujah! Today, would you stand for HIM? Would you be sensitive to the Holy Spirit and try HIM and know HIM and allow HIM to use you today? May His presence fill your life today!
