Sept 25 Devotion: Are We Interested In The Healing?

Are We Interested In The Healing?

2 Chronicles 7:14 If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.

A verse we’ve heard preached on, taught on, and just generally brought up around times of revival. We know all the things that God instructs us to do. I want to focus on the healing part today. There are a lot of people in the world today that seem to have completely lost their way. We have an entire group of people that want to call evil good, and good evil. People that are more intersected in agendas than the truths. We have a land that needs healing. Are Gods people interested in that healing? If we are going to see the land healed we know first it’s going to have to start on our own hearts. That healing isn’t a good meeting nor is it just good singing and preaching. That healing is going to require a revival in a Christians heart! A revival is going to require one to draw closer to God and farther from the things of this world. That’s where it seems that we can lose interest. We are more interested in things of the world than spending more time at church. Interested more in the tv than more time in His Word? We enjoy the good preaching, we enjoy the high of a great meeting, but we stop short of the healing cause it’s that change in our heart that we are less interested in. God will meet with us, He can save people, He can see that we have a wonderful meeting. However, if we want to see change and see a land healed, then that change is going to have to start in the heart of Christians. I pray that as we head into a meeting this weekend that we are more interested in that change and healing rather than just a good weekend meeting. Pray that Gods shows up and truly breaks out something that none of us have ever seen!!

God bless you today! Bro. Josh Richardson
