Sept 3 Devotion: What Do You Want?

What Do You Want? Mark 10:51-52 – “51 And Jesus answered and said unto him, What wilt thou that I should do unto thee? The blind man said unto him, Lord, that I might receive my sight. 52 And Jesus said unto him, Go thy way; thy faith hath made thee whole. And immediately he received his sight, and followed Jesus in the way.”

Bartimaeus – was blind – Deprived of life, was begging, dependent on others Jesus asked-“What wilt thou that I should do unto thee?” Note 3 Things about this Man

  1. He knew what He wanted A. Personally aware of His need-Blind B. Passionately aware of it also-Cried out C. Most today don’t know what they want or need.

  2. He said what He wanted. A. Responded to Christ’s question-directly B. Received what Christ could do willingly. C. Are we willing to receive what Christ can do for us?

  3. He got what he wanted- A. A change in his life – could see B. A change in his situation – followed Christ C. The same power is available today for us. Close – What do you want Christ to do for you? -Bro. Mike Goodson
