Daniel 3:6, 24-25
And whoso falleth not down and worshippeth shall the same hour be cast into the midst of a burning fiery furnace. [24] Then Nebuchadnezzar the king was astonied, and rose up in haste, and spake, and said unto his counsellors, Did not we cast three men bound into the midst of the fire? They answered and said unto the king, True, O king. [25] He answered and said, Lo, I see four men loose, walking in the midst of the fire, and they have no hurt; and the form of the fourth is like the Son of God. 2 Corinthians 10:3, 5
For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh: [5] Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ; 1 Corinthians 10:13
There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it. Today we continue digging deeper into the wicked spirit of antichrist in our world. Every day as Christians we wake up, and the battle begins in the spiritual world around us. This battle begins in our mind as we are reminded by the Apostle Paul in (2 Cor 10:3-5). That “we walk in the flesh but we do not war after the flesh.” Paul said, (V.5) “casting down imaginations” these imaginations, temptations and wicked desires to sin in our flesh, start in our mind. V.5) here says we are to bring EVERY thought we have into obedience to Christ. These thoughts, start by something that we have HEARD, SEEN, or EXPERIENCED at some point in our life. Since we have experienced the sin that satan is using to tempt us with, now we have to deal with it, IN our minds. As Pastor Foster, often reminds us, every sin starts with…the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life. These things are NOT of God, but of this world (1John 2:16). Deep within the heart of man is a yearning and a desire for something that will satisfy, something that is REAL! Satan knows this, and does his best to offer man any and every superficial means to give man his desires. This is where sins of the flesh, temptation, drugs, alcohol, the devils music, and even things that appear to be Christian are used to deceive man. These things, are used to fill a void in our life and bring temporary and momentary satisfaction. These sins, in the end, only put us in a prison to our sin. As Christians, we feel pressure all around us to seek the approval of others, or of men, our friends or coworkers. As we see in Daniel 3, these men felt the heat and pressure from EVERYONE around them. We also see, that Jesus, the Son of God did not abandon them! HE was THERE! He never left them and HE made a way of escape, a way out! Thanks be to God for His faithfulness! Is there something in your life that has you CAPTIVE??? Are you looking for a way OUT??? Seek the Lord today, run to the door of escape and run to Jesus! Find freedom, deliverance and REAL joy in life through Jesus today!
