Are you tripping on your past? 1 John 1:7,9 [7] But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin. [9] If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
If we have asked God to forgive us then the Bible tells us He will and that He cleanses us from all those sins. Because He forgives us He becomes our mediator. 1 Timothy 2:5 For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus; That simply means that if the devil tries to bring up our past Jesus is there to tell the Father that He has cleansed us from those things. So if he has cleansed us why then do we allow the devil to trip us up when he brings up things in our past. The devil wants nothing more than to keep us from doing something for The Lord and he will do all he can to give us an excuse to not be used. Next time the devil puts your past in your way you remind him that you are:
-Forgiven
-So those things are forgotten
-Therefore you are free from him trying to trip you up!
