Feb. 3 Devotion: Man Born of Woman

Job 14:1

Man that is born of a woman is of few days, and full of trouble.

The first thing we see in the Scriptures is clarification. Before the question was asked can a man give birth to a child, in the foreknowledge of God, knowing the low estate of man God would proclaim that its impossible for a man to give birth to a child. Question number 2 is answered: What is the capacity of man or the volume of man's life? God says that man's life is short. In the book of James it states that the life of man is as a vapor, it appears for a little while and then it is gone. If you should live ninety years it's a short time compared to the time you'll be gone. The last question we see answered is the condition of man's life is it's full of trouble. It seems that as soon as one problem is over another problem arises. It does get a little frustrating having problems. Even though we don't enjoy all the troubles of life, but as a child of God we're going to a place where there will be no troubles. Praise the Lord Jesus Christ!
