Cumbered about
Luke 10:40-42 But Martha was cumbered about much serving, and came to him, and said, Lord, dost thou not care that my sister hath left me to serve alone? bid her therefore that she help me. [41] And Jesus answered and said unto her, Martha, Martha, thou art careful and troubled about many things: [42] But one thing is needful: and Mary hath chosen that good part, which shall not be taken away from her. We all know the story here. Martha was working for Jesus in her way and felt that Mary was not where she needed to be. Jesus didn’t yell at her, just reminded her to have proper priorities. We are less than a week away from Thanksgiving now and the holiday season so to speak. It will seem like everyday we will be traveling, cooking, planning or shopping. The Lord still needs to have priority in our lives. Those things have their place but don’t allow them to overtake you and keep you from your daily time with God. Also don’t allow them to bog you down on the Lord’s Day. Make sure when we attend church that we are there to worship and not worry about our holiday plans. Hope everyone has a wonderful holiday season. Bro. Josh Richardson
